Ava Cazares, AMFT
Hi! I am Ava Cazares, an associate psychotherapist (#142269) working in Southern California. I earned my B.A. in Psychology and Education from UCLA and my M.S. in Marriage & Family Therapy from USC.
Since 2022, I have practiced psychotherapy with children, adolescents, and adults at several non-profit organizations, including Partnerships to Uplift Communities (PUC) and The Village Family Services.
Much of my experience has served populations that are historically misunderstood in the field of psychotherapy, including: foster youth, formerly incarcerated individuals, immigrants, and the LGBTQ+ and BIPOC communities. As a proud Mexican-American woman, I am passionate about serving the Hispanic/Latinx community in both English and Spanish.
I implement an eclectic approach of Psychodynamic, Jungian, Existential, and Humanistic theories to treat anxiety, depression, trauma, and more. I strive to make my therapy room a safe space for all.
I look forward to meeting you!
