Andy Terzyan, APCC
My love for the field of Psychology began during my senior year of high school. While I did learn a lot in my class, my life forever changed when one of my peers handed me a book on human behavior and told me to look through it over the weekend. From that point on, I was hooked! During my time at CSUN (California State University, Northridge) I spent my final year of obtaining my Bachelor’s Degree as part of the V.I.S.N. (Visual Information Sciences and Neuroscience) lab where we conducted research on visual perception, learning, and technology.
After spending a few years working with children and adolescents with Autism Spectrum Disorders, I moved to Dallas, TX where I obtained my Master’s Degree in Counseling. Working for two major hospitals as a Pastoral Counselor during this time gave me additional training and experience to hone my skills as a counselor and a therapist. My final year in graduate school also prepared me for the private practice world as I got to spend a year working for a premier counseling center in the heart of Dallas.
Being a part of Anchor Counseling Group, I work with individuals, couples, families, and groups to provide care and support. As an Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (APCC) I will utilize various therapeutic skills and techniques that are tailored to the client that I am working with.
