Aida Grigorian, ACSW
My journey into a career of psychotherapy came from personal experience after seeking counseling for myself. It was then I discovered the important role therapy plays in helping individuals to heal, grow, and improve their everyday lives. Although I was previously pursuing a career in medicine, having graduated medical school and passed my medical board exams for a Doctor of Medicine (MD), I discovered my passion for therapy and realized I was more captivated by it.
Having the passion and the ability to help others has always been crucial to me, and I knew working as a therapist would be the best way to utilize my skills and knowledge to provide that help to my clients.
I received my master’s degree (MSW) from the University of Southern California (USC) in the department of Children, Youth, and Family, where I have provided therapy to individuals from different age groups through USC’s Telehealth program. I provide psychotherapy to individuals and families who have concerns both inside and outside of their homes.
I utilize a range of interventions that include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Problem Solving (PS), Seeking Safety, Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Trauma-Focused Therapy, working with each patient to determine the interventions that best serve a particular client needs. As a mother of three, I also understand the specific concerns parents and families may face and the techniques required when dealing with issues that can arise in family dynamics.
My goal as a therapist is to help my clients better understand themselves, understand what their wants and needs are, and find ways to achieve their goals and dreams.
